A single incident that risks the safety
and quality of food can defeat a developed culinary establishment
and jeopardize your kitchen and the reputation you have worked
so hard for. That’s
why Food Safety is a top priority at The Chef’s Garden™, Inc.
On our farm, we have in place a proactive Food Safety program
that guarantees you the safest product possible to protect the
customers we value so much! We have routine inspections that to-date
have all received superior ratings from top food safety and quality
companies, including The Ohio Department of Agriculture, the USDA,
the American Institute of Baking, Primus and AVENDRA.
We are HACCP certified – food quality
and safety experts have analyzed our operation and put into
place Critical Control Points, or safety features, that guarantee
we are doing all we can to serve you safely. Have implemented
or installed numerous safety nets to ensure the products that
reach you are clean, free of unwanted objects and ready to prepare
for your guests with no worry on your part! Holding our products
in a cool-down facility to ensure proper temperatures; running
them through a metal detector and wearing safety gear at all
times are just a few of those features! We also have an active
recall program in place to alleviate any fears of being unable
to track the source of a concern.
We have a full-time food safety specialist
on staff, as well as a soil consultant. We also sought the advice
and consultation of an outsider adviser – Dr. Karl Kolb
of the American Food Safety Institute – who consistently
reviews our practices and principles.
Being clean and sterile is sometimes a vicious cycle. We practice
farming methods of long ago that allow our products to grow naturally
and safely, by eliminating the bad elements in the soil and building
up the good elements at the same time.
| The bottom line? We simply
want to provide you with the highest-quality product available,
and at the same time, be confident that it is also the absolutely
safest product you can find anywhere in the world! |
